Future IT Professionals Experience Direct LTx Data Center

The digital transformation of our economy is taking place not on our phones, and not on our computers, but on servers connected by networking equipment within data centers.  And this shift within our society requires knowledge workers who grow to become the next group of contributors, and eventually leaders, in the IT infrastructure sector that serves as this backbone of our digital future.

Earlier this month Direct LTx hosted the annual visit to our Reading data center by students from Dan Griffin’s Lebanon County Career and Technology Center IT Networks class.  We were heartened to see a group of nine eager, intelligent students, and help them recognize the importance of IT infrastructure, as some are planning to make it their career.

Dan strives to immerse his students in all aspects of the IT ecosystem, and they had some intelligent questions and ideas during our presentation and meeting with them.  The conversations continued during the tour of the Direct LTx data center that followed.

We were happy to welcome Dan and his class to the data center again this year and all of us at Direct LTx appreciate the work he is doing to supply our area with the IT professionals of the future.   Dan’s students will fill roles that are in demand in Pennsylvania’s technology ecosystem, as infrastructure continues to be a promising line of work for all young people, as well as anyone with a willingness to learn a new craft who is looking to make a mid-career move.

If you have a group that would benefit from an introduction to the world of data centers, cloud hosting, and IT infrastructure by experiencing the Direct LTx data center, drop us a line at strategy@directLTx.com.  It would be a pleasure to offer a tour, as well as an overview of how data centers impact our society and economy.
