Hammer Tech Consolidates East Coast Data Centers

Thriving Weidenhammer Division, Hammer Tech, Consolidates East Coast Data Centers at Direct LTx in Response to Rapid Growth

November 30, 2022 – READING, PA | It was announced that Hammer Tech, a division of Weidenhammer, a high-growth and leading IT managed services provider in the Eastern Pennsylvania region serving clients across the globe, is consolidating the company’s two East Coast production data centers. The company also has a data center in Mesa, Arizona to provide additional resiliency as well as reduced latency for West Coast customers.

The combined East Coast production data center assets will be deployed in the Direct LTx Data Center in Reading, a cloud-adjacent colocation facility with access to 12 carriers. This expands a pre-existing relationship between the two companies.

“This consolidation into a single East Coast production data center allows us to scale our already large footprint in one of our oldest and most valued partnerships, Direct LTx,” said Anthony Cartolaro, vice president, Hammer Tech. “By simplifying our IT infrastructure strategy, we increase our resiliency and eliminate points of failure, maximizing uptime and performance for our customers in a data center within easy reach of several major mid-Atlantic metropolitan areas. The improvement in both performance and ROI benefits not only Hammer Tech but our customers as well.”

“We appreciate Hammer Tech’s continued trust and confidence in the operational strength and uptime record of Direct LTx,” said Joe Dufner, vice president, Direct LTx. “Both Hammer Tech and Weidenhammer have been valued Direct LTx customers for over a decade and their success has been a contributor to our company’s growth as well.”
