Tech Fair Roundup

Direct LTx held its first Technology Fair on June 3.  We invited several industry experts to present unique solutions and discuss emerging topics surrounding disaster recovery, business continuity, cloud on-ramping, and the certifications important to our industry today. The Gourmand food truck was onsite, providing lunch and snacks for the attendees. The Keynote Speaker, George Giangi who chairs the Business, Industry & Infrastructure Subcommittee for the South-Central PA Counter-terrorism Task Force, spoke on the methods to evaluate the level of risk an organization may encounter for cyber incidents. His process and methodology will help identify the true impact that losses of IT systems will have on other departments. It will also provide a more logical and defensible justification for IT programs and budgets in the future.

Other speakers included Josh Hinkle of Splashwire, Michael Hoffner and David Hammarberg of McKonly & Asbury, and Chris Larocca of Technical Environmental Solutions.  Exhibiting their cutting-edge technologies were Solve IT, Cogent, AVAIL, and Crown Castle.

Taking advantage of the Mid Atlantic Air Museum (MAAM) annual WWII Airshow that weekend, we offered tickets to the airshow for our attendees.  This was the 31st Annual MAAM Airshow, an awesome event, featuring a gathering of Veterans, showcasing and demonstrating WWII Aircraft, reenactments, and recreations of events from this time in our history.

During the exhibits and networking, WWII Aircraft could be spotted overhead.  Quite spectacular with the backdrop of a beautiful day.
